Hello everyone,
today was the end of EAP 3 classes , but it was a great experience for me to have the chance to share with you the pot luck and the thankful activity. The mos interesting part of today that after finals exams we are all going to start a new life that came maybe faster than we thought. For me it has been three semester in the LEAP Program and there are people that I have known for a long period of time. However, it has been great to know different people from different parts of the world and people that have come and gone to other places during my study in the LEAP, but each of them has make a mark in me. I wish you all the best in your degrees and in your jobs. It has been a great experience and I think I have learned a lot from all of you and from all my instructors until know. I am leaving to SAIT hopefully someday will meet again. Good luck to everyone.
Stephanie
PS: I want to share a quote

A little bit of everything

Today I wanted to let you know what I did on the weekend and how did I feel when I shared my song yesterday in class. I had a wonderful weekend because my brother, my niece, my nephew and my sister in law were here in Calgary. We went shopping to Market Mall and also to the Heritage Park. It is really beautiful Heritage Park it was my first time there and I liked it very much because it is like entering a small town of the past with old furniture and it seems like at some point a cowboy is going to pass near you. The sad part came on Sunday when I had to say good bye to my family , but I know I will see them soon because there are living in the same province. On the other hand, I loved to share my song yesterday because it has been part of my life the last eight years or may be five years at least. It really has become a national En them. I hope you enjoy it too
bye

Looking Foward to see my Family

Today I wanted to talked about the closest family I have in Alberta. They are my brother Joffre , my sister in law Patricia, my niece Natalia and my nephew Joffre. I am very excited because my sister in law, my nephew and my niece are coming tomorrow to Calgary for a visit and they are leaving on Sunday to Fort MC Murray again . They have been leaving in Fort MC Murray for almost a month and a half. As a result, because it is summer my mom bought a pool for little kids so they can enjoy the weather. Also, I think my mom is going to take them to the Calgary zoo. I think I am going to have a great time this weekend playing with my niece that is almost four years and my nephew that is to years old. However, time passes so fast that I am sure that is like they were here only for one day ha ha. Sorry I wanted to show you some picture of my family, but they are all in different picture. One picture is were my brother works now and the other two are in Venezuela .

Building a Bridge in Class

Yesterday, in writing class, I think we had an excellent activity that was great. First of all, we had to think what we could do with a list of materials that were on the board. The list contained ten drinking straws, one string, a newspaper and tape. Then Ana started writing the ideas of each person for example, we could do a boat, a chair, a desk, a puppet, a bridge and other ideas that I seriously do not remember sorry. Then Ana told us our groups and we had to built a bridge with that material. My group that was Vicky, Jim, Kallin, Shelly and Serenity. First, each drew how was our design going to be so the bridge could stand by itself. As a result, Jim suggested to put two drinking straws like an x so it can be sustained by itself. We started working on that idea of building the bridge. Then we put some tape and string around the drinkings straws . Finally, we put the newspaper on top and it was ready to be tested. The bridge was not really small nor fancy, but it survived three erasers when it was tested by Ana. In brief, I had a great experience building the bridge or at least trying to help.

A New Experience

Today I wanted to share with you an experience that was not unique , but different for me. I had the chance to work with Serenity in the writing class. I always saw her in class and she is so quite some times that I did not really know her. Until she was my partner for the interview that we had to make in the writing class. She had great ideas and she was really worried to make our paper to had in to Ana of the recommendation better. This is why sometimes it is better to work with new people and get to know them better. I hope Serenity also liked to work with me the other day ha ha That is a question that I cannot answer ha ha.

New hair style

Today I am going to talk about my new hair cut. Yesterday I went to cut my hair and I was not sure how I want it to look like, but I had my appointment to cut my hair. As a result, I decided to go early and look at t
he magazines and see what hair style I want to have. I look to many magazines until I found one I think it was suitable for me because I was not sure if I wanted to keep it long or have a completely new look. Afterwards, she started cutting my hair I was like oh my god I hope it looks nice because I was tired of pony tails. Now I have my hair really short, but I liked it because it is easy to manage. I hope you like it too when you see me ha ha

The Calgary Zoo

Today I wanted to talk about my visit to the Calgary zoo when we were at midterm break. I went with my mom on a tuesday afternoon after my careopracter. I have heard to much about how amazing was the zoo was that I had to go and see for myself. Even though I do not remember the last time I went to the zoo in my country maybe I was
to little that I could not remember. When I started enjoying being in the calgary zoo I soon imagine as if I was in Disney Land because it was so beautiful that I could not believe what I was seeing for myself. There were butterflies, elephants, primates, and a prehistoric part were you can see figures of dinosours. The prehistoric part was the part that I enjoyed the most because it seemed so real. In fact, I think that is the place I have more photos to share with you. I hope you enjoy my brief summary,

The Glacier National Park

These weekend was really good. I went with my parents and two more couples to The Glacier National Park that is located in Montana. It is passing the border between Canada and USA. After you pass the border it is more or less 15 minutes before you get to the park. I went specifically to St Mary because the park for now it is open not op
en completly. It is amazing because there are different trails were you can walk and see different cascades falling from the mountains. Also, you can do a tour by boat enjoying the view of St Mary Lake. However, we could not enjoy the Logan pass because it was closed, but it was a wonderful trip. I am still missing the Canadian part that is called waterton because we were planning to go when we came back to Canada but it was to late. However, I am sure we are planning to go soon.
